John has been with the club for a number of years now and has cosistently demonstrated that he a very capable and reliable full back. Comfortable at left and right back he is an asset to the squad. John can have temper tantrums on the pitch but then can also act like a big kid when he is slightly touched by an opponent. This is the only thing that likens him to Cristiano Ronaldo! John was nominated for the captaincy this year in recognition of his long term commitment and consistency over the years. Team mates all agree that John is the longest in the shower.
